Razer which is a well-known PC hardware company started the gaming smartphone innovation back in 2017 by introducing the Razer Phone. A few months later, a few other big tech companies also hit the smartphone market which incredible gaming smartphones. But, Razer company has also decided to keep up the heat in 2018 by introducing its second-generation smartphone, the Razer Phone 2.

As one would expect, the Razer Phone 2 come brings impressive upgrades and features.
Design And Display
Razer Phone 2 design is similar to it predecessor, it has the same rectangular shape, 5.7 IGZO LCD panel with QHD, a single selfie camera on the front and a dual camera with LED flash on back same add the 2017 edition. This time, however, Razer has decided to position the dual rear camera at the middle. You’ll find powerful dual front-facing stereo speakers which are Dolby Atmos-certified and each is fed by a dedicated amplifier.
While most of the latest now use an 18:9 screen ratio, Razer believes 16:9 is best for multimedia and has also made the new screen 50% brighter than before, scaling from 380 nits from their device to a maximum of 580 nits (470 nits typical).
The display also supports HDR and DCI-P3 wide colour gamut with the same 120Hz refresh rate in the first edition for better visual details when playing games or videos.
The company has also added RGB lighting around their logo printed on the back of the CNC-machined aluminium body just below the rear camera.
Razer has decided to reposition the fingerprint sensor too, a lot smartphone that launched this year has the fingerprint sensor on the back but Razer chose to position it fingerprint sensor on the right side of the new device.
Although the Razer Phone 2 is designed for hardcore gamers, it’ll not be fair if the company didn’t put up a great camera. Who doesn’t love to take good pictures…
The new Razer Phone sports new Sony image sensors. The main 12MP image sensor features Dual Pixel AF and optical image stabilization (OIS) and it has a bright f/1.75 lens while the second 12MP camera is packed with a 2x telephoto lens (f/2.6).
The selfie camera remains unchanged, an 8MP fixed-focus shooter, but it also gains support for 1080p @ 60fps video capture.
Hardware And OS
Since the device is basically focused on gaming, Razer Phone 2 has been equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with a vapour cooling chamber to reduce heat, Adreno 630, 8GB of RAM memory and a 64GB UFS storage (expandable via SD card up to 512 GB.
The phone ships with Android 8.1 Oreo, but the company has also promised to provide an OS upgrade. The new Razer gaming smartphone runs on a 4000mAh battery with Quick charge 4+.

Razer Phone 2 is priced at $799 which is $100 more than the first Razer phone. The device is already available for Pre-orders, and the company has said that shipping starts “soon.
